The 2nd Team currently plays in the Newport & District Premier Division 'Y', and finished in 4th position at the end of the 2006/07 season, and 3rd position at the end of 2007/08 season.
The 2nd Team acts as a reserve side for the 1st Team, and successfully finished Runners-up in the Newport & District Premier Division 'Y' back in 2004/05.
The 2nd Team is managed by former Rogerstone and Albion Rovers striker Jimmy Blackborow, and he is ably assisted by Ray Samuel. Jimmy and Ray work as a great management team and create an excellent atmosphere in the 2nd Team dressing room.
The 2nd Team play their home games at the Rogerstone Welfare Grounds, which has Gwent County League standard dugouts and a surrounding pitch barrier, along with excellent changing room facilities.
Training for the three senior teams takes place every Tuesday and Thursday, starting at 6.00pm at the Rogerstone Primary School football pitches. Winter training takes place from every Tuesday from 7.00pm - 8.00pm at Rogerstone Primary School Astroturf, starting in October - March.
